Ademola Lookman Outshines Fiorentina's Defense And Scores In Atalanta's Win

One of the recently trending Nigerian stars, Ademola Lookman has netted his first goal of the 2024-2025 Serie A season, continuing his impressive performance for Atalanta.

The Ballon d'Or nominee found the back of the net as the Nerazzurri triumphed over Fiorentina on Sunday afternoon.

Lookman scored in stoppage time of the first half, securing a 3-2 home victory for Atalanta.

Ademola Lookman was too much for Fiorentina’s defense, as the Nigerian international netted a superb goal in Atalanta’s 3-2 victory on Sunday afternoon.

The Nigerian international scored the third goal for his team, aiding the home side in securing all three points from the Serie A match.

This goal marks his first of the season, underscoring why he was the sole African player nominated for the 2024 Ballon d'Or.

However, Fiorentina took the lead first when Martínez Quarta scored in the 15th minute, momentarily quieting the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo.

Just six minutes later, Mateo Retegui equalized for Atalanta, finishing off Lookman's assist.

Atalanta fell behind again in the 31st minute when Moise Kean put Fiorentina back in the lead.

Just before halftime, Charles De Ketelaere leveled the score once more, and a minute later, Lookman scored to send the crowd into a frenzy.
